Bought it after my Eureka bit the dust (no pun intended) after only 8 months of use. I love this vacuum. It does a great job on my hardwoods and ceramic tile. The suction is great and got lots of dust & dirt even after I had just vacuumed with another sweeper. However, it is not good for berber carpet on anything that has a long pile. I have a small rug that is very long pile and the vacuum makes a terrible noise when trying to vacuum. Get the Dyson Animal if you have indoor.outdoor, long pile, shag, berber carpets or animals in the house Just used my Dyson for the first time today.
